Man To Man

In celebration of American marriage equality, I put together this collection of songs from the 1920's and 30's where men are singing to or about men.

With the exceptions of "Masculine Women, Feminine Men" and "Help!", the majority of these songs are 'accidentally gay' because back in the old days, song publishers had such a stranglehold on the popular music industry that you didn't dare tamper with a song lyric.

With or without the above knowledge, it's still a rare treat to hear such old timey songs in which one man sings tender and romantic words to another man.

As always,

The Magick Inside

This mixtape will be perfect for :

A. running wild through summertime landscapes
B. a spontaneous thrift store excursion
C. searching for swimming holes and beaches
D. playing outdoor games during a sudden thunderstorm
E. eating popsicles indoors with a friend or two

This mix celebrates spontaneity and adventure.
It should serve as a nice soundtrack for surprising one's self.
It's dedicated to my greatest friend in the world, Elise.

Newfangled

This is more or less a 'brand new music' mixtape.

If the actual song isn't new, then it (or the artists) is at least new to me (newly discovered).

But for the record, the majority of this mix IS actually very recently released stuff and I'm rather proud to say that a small shining part of it comes from my beloved town of Birmingham, AL!

As always,
