This PTR episode's feature finds us celebrating & honoring the crisp, chilly, darkening days of Fall by listening to the Sweet Wreath label's latest excellent offering, Seasonal Seance - Autumnal Equinox in its entirety!

"Seasonal Séance mix of musical rituals for Fall. The artists in this collection recorded special pieces of music devoted to Autumn...that shift into the darker months of the year when liminal spaces seem to open up as we peer into the deep. Earthy & ethereal voices and sonic textures conjure local lore, personal ritual, and the flora & fauna associated with the Fall season. This project emphasizes the equinoxes & solstices as days that deserve their own soundtrack, like astrological holiday music. The series is also a way of exploring what contemporary American folk music is now, with noise and avant-garde traditions being a part of that ongoing history."
