This episode of PTR finds us conducting a very unique Sit+Listen session, experiencing ‘Prends le temps d’écouter’ which compiles the sound experiments conducted by children between 1962-82, studying under the Modern School Movement founded by radical educationalist Célestin Freinet. Encouraging full creative liberation, the tracks range from sweet folk to ritualistic drumming to nuclear musique concrète! It is a rallying cry for nonconformism in education, and is surprisingly sophisticated, challenging, and rewarding. As the translated title suggests: take the time to listen!
