focal point : Cluster

Focal Point playlists are mixes in which one particular artist or band is showcased (by me or a guest), allowing listeners to explore their music and sample a variety of their songs from different albums.

It's been a very long while since I've created a "Focal Point" playlist & the reason is because Mixcloud (home to all of my mixes) suddenly decided that any playlist with more than 2 songs by the same artist would not be available for listening in the United States (copyright reasons, presumably) ...

But I think I've found a way around it, which is placing the track list in the 'description' area, which makes the 'multiple songs by the same artist' problem undetectable! And even if it does get detected, I will simply upload any 'Focal Point' mixes to Soundcloud, because they don't have such a strict rule!

So, here you are : the 1st Focal Point mix in eons ... Cluster!

Cluster was a German experimental musical group consisting of Hans-Joachim Roedelius and Dieter Moebius. They recorded albums in a wide variety of styles ranging from experimental music to progressive rock and influenced the development of contemporary popular electronic and ambient music. Cluster was active from 1971 until 2010, releasing a total of 15 albums, including two collaborations with Brian Eno.

As always,
