Twin Year-End Mixes!

This week we have not one, but TWO best-of-2010 mixtapes!!! Whoopeeee!!! =

1st off, Bad Muffin is the beautiful and extremely creative Beth Ragland ... and I think it's rather incredible that hers and my year-end mixes share only TWO similar tracks (Tame Impala's amazing "Solitude Is Bliss" and Beach House's lovely "Norway") ... but that only goes to show you that 2010 was a GRAND year for music ...


it's funny because Beth told me she had so many favorites from last year that she had quite a difficult time making her mix fit onto one CD ... I quite concur! Cuz so did I!!! But the BEST thing about both of us putting these 2 mixes out on the same Psychic Tuesday is that you really get more of a well-rounded feel for just how much amazing music there was last year ... perhaps our 2 mixes even make up for eachother's losses? who knows!?!

Once again, let me state that there was SO much amazing music that was released in 2010 that it was an extremely difficult task getting everything into just 1 single mp3 that would fit onto just 1 CD ... I actually had to leave off 5 or 6 bands, which makes me happy and glad that Beth put out her mix on the same day!!!

So it's now 2011 ... Happy New Year! According to ancient Chinese wisdom, this is the year of the Rabbit ... I was born in the year of the Dog and I looked online to see what my fortune might be like for the upcoming year ... and it looks pretty promising according to this guy! yay!!! =








Also, I was looking at the Deerhunter blog and found a great new "holidaze" mix from the Cocoart site ... There's new songs from both Atlas Sound and Lotus Plaza on it ... so yay!
