Dark Mix

This mixtape will be perfect for =

A. Wandering around yer house with all the lights out
B. Contemplating this year's Halloween costume
C. Entering a graveyard at night
D. Telling ghost stories
E. Hiding under the covers

So it's finally here! October ... the best and most magical month of the year, in my opinion! Chilly days, dead leaves ... ghosts ... bonfires ... campfires ... pumpkins!

I made this mix to celebrate the "dark season" ... It's extremely ominous and spooky and at times pretty frightening!

Behold! The "Dark Mix"! ENJOY!!!

We are living in times of CHANGE ... These days are days to remember ... I was reading from the book "Extravaganza" by one of my favorite poets, Pablo Neruda and came across this vey poignant poem which is very telling even today, in light of the Occupy Wall Street protests going on now ...

Consequences
by
Pablo Neruda

He was good, the man, sure
as his hoe and his plow.
He didn't have time
to dream while he slept.

He was poor to the point of sweat.
He was worth a single horse.

His son today is very proud
and worth a number of cars.

He speaks with a senator's voice,
he walks with an ample step,
has forgotten his peasant father
and discovered ancestors.
He thinks like a fat newspaper,
makes money night and day,
is important even asleep.

The sons of the son are many,
they married some time ago.
They do nothing, but they consume.
They're worth a thousand mice.

The sons of the sons of the son -
what will they make of the world?
Will they turn out good or bad?
Worth flies or worth wheat?

You don't want to answer me.

But the questions do not die.
